The Role

Here at Hain Daniels we are currently recruiting for a Skilled Operative at our Corby site. Here, we produce freshly prepared fruit, freshly squeezed juices and smoothies, fresh fruit patisserie and fruit jellies for the retail channel.

To coordinate and manage all aspects of food production within a chilled processing environment, ensuring all legal requirements are maintained regarding Health & Safety and Food Safety. Manage, control, and maintain all set KPI's and performance target to meet business requirements. Planning and ensuring flexibility to meet daily / weekly shift production targets.

We have day shifts available, with the shift patterns running 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off.

Key Responsibilities

  • Control and manage all processes and tasks within the production areas, to achieve and sustain set targets - hourly, daily and weekly.
  • Daily controlling of yields and giveaway.
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is completed within each working shift as required.
  • Control downtime within production areas, effectively reporting any issues and actively taking action to reduce downtime on an ongoing basis.
  • Effectively report any lost time, and waste.
  • Control and manage all aspects of Health & Safety within production areas to company standards.
  • Ensure all near miss and accidents are reported following the company's guidelines and ensure all documentation is complete.
  • Manage and control GMP within the process and factory areas to company standards and ensure these are maintained at all times, reporting any issues or failings.
  • Ensure HACCP procedures are adhered to at all times, and all CCP's are controlled within specification.
  • Manage and control Food Safety and Quality within the process at all times.
  • Ensure all products are to company specification.

What you will need for the role / what it will take

  • Relevant experience within the FMCG industry.
  • Relevant food manufacturing experience.
  • Relevant Food Hygiene qualifications.
  • Relevant Health & Safety experience / qualifications/
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Demonstration of a positive and committed attitude.
