The Role

Hain Daniels are currently recruiting for an NPD Manager at our Grimsby site. Here, we manufacture fresh soups and ready meals, for our own brands, under license, and for private label products.

This role is to manage the development and delivery of ‘best in class’ commercially viable products throughout the NPD Procedure, from concept development to scale up for trials & launch for the soup business unit for both branded & Own Label.

This is a temporary assignment as maternity cover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for product development & all it entails from the initial concept/ brief stage to post launch review.
  • Closely liase with the site team to ensure up to date awareness of customer briefs & critical path requirements.
  • Ensure the Launch procedure is adhered to & all paperwork is completed  accurately  & in a timely manner
  • Build relationships with relevant outside suppliers, customers & agencies in order to understand the latest trends and how to interpret them
  • To manage, motivate and develop student develop in order to ensure smooth running of projects and individual development in line with plan
  • Monitor & distribute workload
  • To understand departmental budget targets & support the achievement of them
  • Working within the remit of the departmental budget
  • Customer relationship management

What you will need for the role / what it will take

  • Food related degree
  • Relevant experience gained in a similar role
  • Basic financial acumen
  • Good communication skills
  • Team management skills
