The Role

Here at Hain Daniels we are currently recruiting for a Project Manager at our Fakenham site. The Fakenham is our dedicated Meat Free facility, producing vegetarian products under the Linda McCartney Foods brand and retail own label.

The role of the Project Manager will be to identify and deliver business improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver multiple successful projects.

  • Ensure projects are secured and delivered on time and within the financial requirements and margins as specified by the business.

  • Deliver projects to completion on time and on budget and to the satisfaction of all parties; customer expectations are to be exceeded wherever and whenever possible.

  • Manage the delivery of projects within agreed budget requirements with the target to maximise profit through cost reductions and better buying of subcontractor services if needed.

  • Be customer focused within all areas of operational activities, ensure that effective relationships are maintained with key client contacts and the site teams/managers to identify and win project opportunities.

  • Responsible for the development and management of all bids, tenders and proposals.

  • Strategically plan and develop long term opportunities by creating a pipeline of potential projects

  • Supporting the sales process through solutions development, participation in presentations and consultation meetings

  • Build strong relationships with subcontractors, in particular preferred suppliers.

  • Stakeholder management

  • Financial responsibility for the delivery of the annual projects Plan

  • Primarily to deliver capital and revenue to Capex projects for Fakenham site, successfully, on time and in full to deliver declared business benefit.

  • Progress  innovative solutions through effective delivery of new equipment and upgrades to existing equipment enabling the site to achieve its business targets through proven best practice processes and techniques

  • Improve the site OEE through providing expertise and technical support to Engineering and Production Teams

  • Hands on control and ownership of defined outages for project work

  • Advise, coach and train other Engineers and/or Technical Operators to undertake specified autonomous improvement activities.

  • Work with vendors and OEM's alike to deliver business partnerships adding additional business value.

What you will need for the role / what it will take

  • Time served Engineering Apprenticeship.
  • Qualified with: NEBOSH, Prince2, PUWER and CAD.
  • Good level of IT literacy, specifically with Microsoft package including Project.
  • Well-experienced in an Engineering based role in the food industry.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Dynamic decision maker.
  • Continuous improvement skills, with the ability to problem solve and provide advice as required.
  • Effective planner and communicator of work.
