The Role

Hain Daniels are currently recruiting for a Hygiene Supervisor at our Gateshead site. In Gateshead, we manufacture freshly prepared fruit for both the retail and convenience channels, as well as key foodservice partners. We make high quality, delicious food-to-go products.

You will be required to assist with managing and controlling the hygiene function within the site, ensuring that adequate daily and deep cleaning regimes are documented, planned and carried out to agreed standards and within budgets set.  Provide stand in cover in the absence of the Hygiene Manager.

Must be able to work night shift, Tues-Sat and Sun-Mon.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide supervisory support with the management, development and recruitment of hygiene personnel.

  2. Assist with setting up robust cleaning procedures

  3. Working with the Technical team to action hygiene standards across the site

  4. Ensure hygiene staff are coached and trained in all aspects of their role, including health and safety, food safety and hygiene standards..

  5. Physically audit all areas within the function and surrounding areas to ensure hygiene compliance and company standards are observed and maintained.

  6. Area start up checks completed, employees adequately trained to perform the tasks and departmental procedures being followed.
