The Role

Hain Daniels are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager. The territory for the role will be predominantly the Midlands and South East regions and will require you to be field based with one day a week home based.

In this role you will be required to take full responsibility for the assigned regional customer base consisting of Foodservice End Users, Convenience

Retail Groups, Wholesalers and other regional customers.

This role will be supporting Customer Managers in the Sales Team, seeking to maximise sustainable profitable growth across Hain Daniels Brands and Retail Own Label.

Key objective will be to drive sales, profit, distribution and visibility within the agreed account portfolio, achieving and exceeding set targets/budget. Managing existing business as well as identifying profitable new business opportunities.

Successful candidate must be able to build strong relationships and interface across multiple functions both internally and externally. Consistent and frequent customer contact is critical to success in this role. The individual is responsible for all aspects of the customer relationship as a lead. Negotiates CPI, annual terms, new listings & promotions.

Supports Customer Managers as required. Through project specific tasks builds experience through “doing”.

It is a requirement that the jobholder and all reports are compliant with Competition Law at all times.

  • Sales and commercial experience
  • Broad knowledge on product and process
  • Excellent communicator
  • Good selling and negation skills
  • Good track record of building customer and supplier relationships
