The Role

Hain Daniels are currently recruiting for a site CI Manager for Histon. In Histon, we manufacture a host of ambient sweet spreads and jellies for our grocery brands. These includes Hartley's jams and jellies, Gale's honey, Rose's marmalades, Sun-Pat peanut butter, and the dairy free brand Dream.

Our goal is to become the UK’s Best Food Factory. To do this we need to continue to build Lean Six Sigma capability within the Histon organisation to achieve a sustainable Operational Excellence culture that will ensure sustainability of the gains already achieved and the ongoing effective delivery of performance improvement activities. The Site CI Manager  will develop the Operational Excellence plan for the Site with the General Manager and SLT and facilitate the deployment of systems, tools and behaviours which drive towards the site vision.  The Site operates to a 3 Year Roadmap with SQDCSM KPI’s which drive £/Tonne, Cultural enhancement and Capability in people.  The deployment will be managed through Hoshin - Kanri and delivered by teams across operations.The site structure will be complemented by group resource within the CI community and this role will be expected to taking a leading position in supporting projects in other factories and building a community team.

The reporting structure will consist of two CI Leads embedded in the two business Units who will require direction and management to deliver the BU strategy.  The role will further be a Go To person for cross functional support on CI matters and ensure the embedding of Lean is supported by visible leadership of the Divisional Executive team.A critical part of the role is to deploy the Operational Excellence strategy and platform to maximise the operational effectiveness and improve line efficiency through process, procedures, engineering excellence and investments.

  • Ceng and/or MBA
  • CI experience at site Leadership level
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or MBB
