The Role

Hain Daniels are currently recruiting for a Product Developer to work in our NPD team at our Corby site. In Corby, we produce freshly prepared fruit, freshly squeezed juices and smoothies, fresh fruit patisserie and fruit jellies for the retail channel.

Develop products for the future to sit in the development pipeline to be available for all customers.

Manage and maintain development projects in line with customer critical paths.

Build strong cross functional relationships internally within the OHF and with your customers.

Work closely with the full team to achieve cost effective successful innovation, and delivery of launches in line with the agreed critical path.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver new products to generate a pipeline of products in line with the business strategy and/or customer briefs
  • Work with the wider team to support the management of critical paths for specific product ranges, plan, organise and manage customer and business exceptions to deliver products to an agreed quality and timescale.
  • Ensure all products meet the business margin aspirations
  • Present facts and ideas clearly, accurately and persuasively to achieve department and business objectives across all functions and with external customers
  • Champion for product quality.  Able to communicate issues to the wider team and to support in resolving issues raised.

What you will need for the role / what it will take

  • Relevant food qualifications with a real passion for food and health
  • Previous experience in the food industry- Ideally have had experience with M&S
  • Self-motivator, enthusiastic showing a can do approach
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
  • Good presentation, influencing and communications skills
  • Understanding of business finance with a commercial customer focus
  • Strong project management skills
  • Computer literate – knowledge of customer systems is ideal
