The Role

Hain Daniels are currently recruiting for a Technical Manager at our Fakenham site. Fakenham is our dedicated Meat Free facility, producing vegetarian products under the Linda McCartney Foods , Unbelievable ALT. brand and retail own label.

The Technical Manager will be accountable for all aspects of Food Safety, Legislation and Quality of products produced in the factory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support site initiatives to monitor and drive improvements in Food Safety culture.
  • Lead the Food Safety HACCP team, ensuring HACCP documentation is up to date and that CCP's are implemented.
  • Manage allergens through the site allergen risk assessment and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure the QMS is up to date and regularly reviewed and implemented.
  • Ensure compliance to BRC Standard for Food Safety.
  • Leadership of the site Technical department, and ensure that members of the Technical department are suitably trained to carry out their duties.
  • Management of the Site Hygiene Team and improve standards across the site.
  • Be the site point of contact for customers, auditing bodies and Government bodies from a technical perspective.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement works on the site.
  • Actively involved in Quality and Product Improvement Projects.

What you will need for the role / what it will take

  • Degree level educated in a Food Science or related discipline.
  • Chilled & Frozen food manufacturing experience.
  • Strong people-manager, with experience of coaching and developing teams.
  • Technically sound, with BRC experience.
