The Role

Hain Daniels Chilled and Frozen is an FMCG business with a number of leading household brands (Linda McCartney’s, The Unbelievable ALT, Meatless Kitchen, New Covent Garden Soup, Yorkshire Provender and  Cully & Sully) and own-label contracts supplying the leading retailers.  The company operates across multiple channels and numerous categories including:  Frozen Plant Based Meals, chilled Plant Based Meals, Chilled Soups, Chilled Hot Eat Desserts and Chilled and Ambient Plant Based Drinks.

We are looking to recruit a Head of NPD for the Plant based business unit.

The Head of NPD is responsible for the overall management and development of the Plant Based NPD team, taking products from concept through to launch, including the factory trial process.  The role encompasses the management of those products manufactured at Fakenham, as well as control of the NPD process of co-manufactured goods.  The stage and gate process, with all associated procedures, needs to be strictly enforced and improved where required.

What you will need for the role / what it will take

  • Degree or equivalent in Food Science or related discipline
  • Experience in chilled or frozen food industry
  • Experience managing teams
  • Mandatory experience within plant based development or process
  • NPD Concept and process is essential
