The Role

Hain Daniels are currently recruiting for a QA Technician at our Grimsby site. In Grimsby, we manufacture fresh soups and ready meals, for our own brands, under license, and for private label products.

The role will be to to work with the other departments within the factory to ensure that standards of hygiene and food safety are upheld and maintained.

Shifts will be 06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00, 22:00 -6:00 rotating.

Key Responsibilities

  • HACCP auditing and the measurement of the critical control points
  • Carry out Hygiene audits to schedule.
  • Carry out glass audit / foreign body and fabrication audits and others as necessary and communicate action points with other departments.
  • Conduct complaint root cause analysis investigation and implement corrective & preventative actions to prevent reoccurrence. 
  • Calibration of weighing equipment and temperature measurement equipment.
  • Verification of cleaning through the Hygiene Management System including swabbing and titration.
  • Update the Quality Management System in a timely manner, and in line with manufacturing requiremetns.
  • Carry out project work and reports work as required by QA or Technical Manager.

What you will need for the role / what it will take

  • HACCP Level 2 or 3.
  • Food Safety Level 2 or 3.
  • Experience as a Quality Auditor would be highly sought after.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of Food Safety and HACCP Principles.
  • Good understanding of English and Maths.
  • IT literate, proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Able to work on your own initiative.
