The Role

Hain Daniels are currently recruiting for a Senior Product Developer to lead exciting new plant based initiatives within a dynamic team.  Whilst the plant based category continues to grow we are looking to extend our team.  This is a great opportunity for you to work in a fast paced environment, with great exposure on our core offering, the  Linda McCartney branded products.

The role of the Senior Product Developer is to work with the Head of NPD and Global Plant Based Steering team to create a catalogue of products that delights our consumers and customers.  Leverage deep consumer understanding and raw material knowledge within the business to build a range of base recipes designed to deliver competitive advantage to Hain across multiple geographies, brands and price points.  Support the NPD Manager in the UK by leading a number of NPD briefs from brief to concept sign off

Key Responsibilities

  •  Develop understanding of the sensory attributes that matter and drive liking for consumers by key market segment and region
  • Development of Global catalogue of base recipes that meet sensory clusters need states by price point
  • Build relationships with relevant outside suppliers, customers & agencies in order to understand the latest trends and how to interpret them and feed key insights and implications to the global plant based steering team on a quarterly basis
  • Responsible for product development & all it entails from the initial concept/ brief stage to post launch review
  • Ensure the Launch procedure is adhered to & all paperwork is completed  accurately  & in a timely manner

What you will need for the role / what it will take

  •  Food related degree or course or studying towards one
  • 2-3 years + product development experience ideally gained within alternative proteins
  • Good communicator
  • Ability & willingness to be flexible
