We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Business Improvement Lead to join our team at our Fakenham site in Norfolk. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across all business functions, working closely with senior leadership to optimize processes and implement cost-saving initiatives.  Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Lead and deliver a structured Continuous Improvement (CI) roadmap, ensuring year-on-year cost and efficiency improvements.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership, including the Head of Operations and Financial Controller, to define and execute long-term business improvement strategies.

  • Develop a robust pipeline of productivity projects through in-depth loss analysis, employee engagement, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Implement lean manufacturing principles, including Kaizen, SMED, and A3 problem-solving methodologies, to drive process optimization.

  • Deploy and sustain IL6S (Integrated Lean Six Sigma) programs.

  • Coach and mentor teams in the adoption of high-performing work team principles, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.

  • Serve as a change agent, ensuring CI initiatives are embedded and sustained across the organization.

  • Manage multiple projects using Black Belt-level problem-solving methodologies to achieve measurable efficiency gains and cost reductions.

  • Lead training programs in CI methodologies, ensuring teams are equipped with the necessary skills and tools.

  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

What You Will Need for the Role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 10 years of operational experience in a manufacturing or business improvement environment.

  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent CI qualification.

  • Proven track record in leading successful CI initiatives and embedding sustainable change.

  • Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.

  • Excellent leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to drive cultural change.

  • Effective communication, facilitation, and training skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
