The Role

Our Grocery division at Hain Daniels are recruiting for an HR Advisor. You will be required to ensure a seamless and efficient HR service to the various departments in the business, calling on the expertise within the wider HR team if required. You will work with managers across the business to ensure that legislation and ‘best practice’ is adhered to. This role will best suite someone with previous HR exposure at a management level and experience of deploying HR change initiatives across a diverse group of employees. You will bring with you a broad range of HR knowledge and an understanding of up to date employment law.

This role reports into the Head of HR for the Grocery division, based in Histon.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provides HR generalist support for the management teams and employees across 2 sites and liaise with a central HR team in Leeds.
- Provides coaching and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies and practices
- Being primary point of contact for employee relations inquiries
- Manage employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence and redundancy.
- Support activities within performance management and talent management processes.
- Partner with the recruitment, L&D and Rewards teams to ensure a seamless experience for employees.

  • Proven ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and handle multiple assignments simultaneously, in a fast paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Good IT skills especially in Microsoft Office

  • Experience of working with Trade Unions would be advantageous
  • Experience of  change in terms and conditions is highly desirable
