The Role

Here at Hain Daniels we are currently recruiting for a Recipe Management Officer at our Histon site. Here, we manufacture a host of ambient sweet spreads and jellies for our grocery brands. These includes Hartley's jams and jellies, Gale's honey, Rose's marmalades, Sun-Pat peanut butter, and the dairy free brand Dream.

To provide all processing areas within the Spreads department with process recipes including intermediates to allow operations teams to fulfil the production plan. Recipes must be legally compliant, efficient and deliver the required customer specifications and QAS. Recipes must be delivered on all operating and stock management systems.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance of products, processes, the manufacturing environment & personnel to current EU and UK food safety legislation.
  • Monitor and communicate for compliance to dept. quality, safety & GMP policies/procedures.
  • Support area in food safety issues by involvement in HACCP studies and spoilage and complaint incident investigations.
  • Promote & encourage a culture of high standards in food safety and quality, leading by example.
  • In a timely manner, assist in the completion of Quality EDPS. Support site initiatives to reduce accidents and near misses.

What you will need for the role / what it will take:

  • Some basic QA/QC/Process knowledge is required.
  • Level 2 HACCP require.
  • Can demonstrate a good understanding of food safety and GMP.
  • Excellent PC skills, and numerically proficient.
