The Role

Here at Hain Daniels we are currently recruiting for a Soup Filler at our Grimsby site. Here, we manufacture fresh soups and ready meals, for our own brands, under license, and for private label products.

Day to day you will be running machinery to produce our products. This will involve recording data on paperwork, weight control, temperature control, metal detection, traceability, packaging control  and rising any issues that occur out of our policy’s and procedure’s to your area leader. Machine minding experience would be an advantage, but not essential as full training will be giving to you.
 
The shift pattern for these vacancies are as follows: 3x7.5 - 10pm-6am starting on a Sunday evening and finishing on a Friday morning. Following week is 5 days of 2pm-10pm, and the following week 5 days of 6am-2pm.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all products are made to company specification including temperature, weight, photo standards, CCP, and reporting all failures to a Team Leader.
  • Assembling, blending, and packing quality products to company standards at all times, reporting any failures.
  • Report all downtime to ensure they are acted upon immediately and incidents of more than 10mins are reported.
  • Provide information of issues to ensure improvements are captured and implemented.
  • Help maintain GMP by keeping work area / line clean and tidy.
  • Ensure all near miss and accidents are reported to management.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, together with a can-do attitude.
  • Adhere to safe system at work.
  • Ensure materials are available and equipment is operating properly to deliver the production plan.
  • Ensure efficient and effective shift change over, by controlling stock levels, GMP, and documentation.
  • Ensure all HACCP procedures are adhered to at all times, and all CCP's you are responsible for are within specification.

What you will need for the role / what it will take:

  • 1 years' experience within the FMCG industry, or relevant manufacturing site.
  • Basic food hygiene.
  • Relevant Health & Safety awareness.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to self-manage.
  • Good at problem solving.
