Hain are currently recruiting a 4 Months Fixed Term Contract for a Management Accountant to Join our Leeds Office.

The Management Accountant will provide key financial support to the Controlling team and wider Finance team and business. Reporting directly to the Head of Controlling, this is an exciting opportunity for someone to develop their skills in Management Accounting and business partnering. The ideal candidate will have previous FMCG or Retail experience and a proven track record of adding value through effective administration and insightful financial analysis.

The role is ideal for an adaptable and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced and evolving environment (including new systems implementation), and who enjoys working with a relatively new team. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your career in a dynamic business setting.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Month, Quarter, and Year-End Processes (30%)

    • Responsible for completing period-end processes, including trade spend, consumer marketing, overheads, balance sheet reconciliations, and providing ad-hoc financial analysis.
  2. Business & Customer Reporting (25%)

    • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, circulate them effectively, and address queries. Assist the sales team with customer returns and related reports.
  3. Budgeting & Forecasting (15%)

    • Assist in budget and forecast rounds, focusing on Excel modeling, reporting, and version control.
  4. General Ad-Hoc Finance Work (20%)

    • Provide support for various ad-hoc finance-related tasks as required by the business.
  5. Governance and Audits (10%)

    • Assist with internal and external audits to ensure compliance with governance standards.

Education & Experience:

  • Education Level: ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified Accountant, or qualified by relevant experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in finance, preferably in FMCG or Retail sectors.
  • Key Capabilities:
    • Advanced Excel skills.
    • Strong relationship-building ability.
    • Demonstrated commercial awareness and an enquiring nature.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
    • Flexible working approach.
    • Knowledge of costings.
